Russian Speaking Finance Manager. Private Family Office. Central London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Russian Speaking Finance Manager to join a growing family office in the Centre of London. You will be working with an HNW family, managing their accounts and advising on finance-related matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual reports for the management and family members
  • Preparing, monitoring and discussing budgets with management and family members
  • Processing invoices and payments daily for the operations in the UK and Europe
  • Supervising and reviewing the work of household managers in the UK and Europe
  • Advising the family on finance-related matters
  • Management of financial department work and processes, including manuals
  • Maintenance of accounting and reporting system in English and Russian languages
  • Organisation of system supply, installation and support
  • Maintenance of accounting reporting procedures for FO companies under IFRS worldwide
  • Maintenance of the company’s financial reporting procedures
  • Maintenance of the company’s payroll, VAT registration and reporting, tax submissions and filings
  • Interaction with auditors and tax/financial/legal advisors
  • Support for compliance requirements of the company, including internal, statutory and regulatory
  • Financial control and cost management
  • Financial planning and budgeting for the company and for a group of companies overall
  • Financial management and statutory reporting for FO companies and liaising with FO Russian operation
  • Any other duties customary for the position of a Finance Manager

The perfect candidate should be/have:

  • A qualified/part-qualifies accountant
  • Strong financial reporting, accounting and management accounting skills
  • Knowledge of UK taxation (VAT + corporate income tax), UK regulatory requirements. Understanding of tax return calculation
  • Knowledge of UK salary calculation requirements, practice in Sage and Payroll Manager programs
  • Experience of dealing with external advisors such as lawyers, accountants, auditors etc
  • Fluency in Russian and English is required (knowledge of French is preferred but not essential
  • An ability to juggle a variety of different projects at any one time
  • A demonstrable client-facing demeanour would be beneficial as would someone who is discreet, well organised and versatile
  • Excellent communication skills
